1st Knaphill Scout Group Group News |

Scout Group members past and present enjoyed a cream tea get together on Saturday 9th May to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of 1st Knaphill Scout Group.
Nearly 200 people came along, many of whom had been involved when the Group first started. A fun time was had by everyone. Many past members enjoyed looking through Group photos and memorabilia and especially looking at cine films of Cub camps back in the 1980’s—it is quite remarkable how little has changed …. other than the uniform, that is! We were delighted to see Eileen, one of the original Cub Scout Leaders arrive at the party in her original uniform, complete with hat!
Current Beavers, Cubs and Scouts enjoyed taking part in activities outside run by our Young Leaders, and also had the opportunity to look over a fire engine courtesy of Southern Fire and Rescue and find out about fire safety.
Just in case any past members had been missing the camaraderie of a campfire sing song, Nick Daniell led the entertainment with some lively songs interspersed with skits from Beavers, Cubs and Scouts, which got everyone on their feet!
Thank you to everyone for coming along—a great day was had by all.
