Monopoly Fun—Sat 25th July Well done to Becky and Matthew the winners of the Knaphill Monopoly Run—prizes of Travel Monopoly were awarded to the Tellers, the Holmes Family, the Muir/Collier family and 1st Knaphill Guides. Congratulations to all who took part—it was a fun morning for all & we have had several requests to run it again |

BAZZAZ BEAVER COUNTY FUN DAY - Sat 13th June

Family Camp 2009—another great success We were once again blessed with perfect weather for our camp over the weekend of 19th/20th September. We had a record number of people—over 130, and for several this was their first camping experience! Families arrived Saturday morning to pitch their tents and then after lunch had the opportunity to take part in a fun activity session. A range of activities were on offer for all ages including archery, shooting, backwoods cooking, rope making, water rockets, a rope bridge and the BASIC team came with their fantastic virtual caving. Saturday evening finished with a fun campfire singsong and a wide game. On Sunday families took part in orienteering on Wisley Common and enjoyed a fun gun carriage challenge and tug of war. A great time was had by all and it is a weekend many will remember for a long time. Many thanks to everyone for making this camp work so well. |

Firebird Challenge 2009 Another Action Man Challenge during Family Camp this year… the 2009 challenge was to build a shelter to protect Action Man from hurricanes and monsoons! We had some excellent entries, almost all of which stood up to the hurricane although a few let in the rain! Well done to the winners: Beaver Scout: Stephen, Cub Scout: David, Scout: Daniel and all those with commended entries. |

Family Hike March 2010 More than 70 turned out for our first Family Hike of the year! We enjoyed a hike starting at Fairoaks airport and then taking in Horsell Common and McLaren Park finished off with a visit to the café at Fairoaks. Well done to those who achieved their Hikes Away 1 Badge! |

Beavers, Cubs and Scouts are working together to improve the area in and around the Scout HQ. We have held 4 work parties so far and have managed to clear the car park. A good number are already well on their way to completing the hours needed to achieve the badge. |
