Scoutabout 2017
Scoutabout took place 7th – 9th July 2017.
What is Scoutabout?
Scoutabout is an extraordinary event that only happens once every three years, +6,000 Scouts and Guides aged between 10 and 14 from all over Surrey participating in a weekend of fun, learning and over 200 different activities.
Scoutabout is by far one of my favourite camps that I have ever done in Scouts! I really enjoyed all the activities and the entertainment that was there.
One of the best things about Scoutabout is the fact that the leaders just leave you to it most of the time and you’re free to go and roam about the site. My favourite activity was the black hole, it was basically caving but the caves were made out of hay bales and you had to crawl through different gaps to get to the other side.
There were so many different activities to do and they were all really fun and there was only a couple that I didn’t get to do. My least favourite thing about Scoutabout was the queues, but luckily we didn’t have to wait more than an hour for any activity. I really enjoyed Scoutabout and I recommend that every scout should go to it.
