CUB SUMMER CAMP 2026 ….

Date: 14th Jul 2026 Author: Tracey Daniell

Cubs enjoyed their summer camp under glorious sunny skies at Garners Field campsite in Farnham.  They had a fun packed weekend including finding out about bats and going on a bat walk, water fun games and a hike including a visit to Tilford Village Fete and paddling in the Tillingbourne stream .  A highlight was the unexpected opportunity to watch the England v Norway game in the World Cup.

Here’s what our Cubs had to say about the camp….

Samuel W. – My favourite part was when we were paddling in the river

Claudia – I really enjoyed playing with the water balloons, especially when they burst because it was a really hot day.

Jack T – I really enjoyed everything!

Nathan– My most enjoyable part was probably watching the England game!

David – My favourite bit was when we had the bat talk.

Elsbeth – I liked it when we went to the village fete where there were lots of stalls and also paddling in the river

Elliott – My favourite bit was watching the England game!

Aiden -I loved climbing trees!

Logan – My favourite part of camp was the bats because the person giving the talk bought round a tiny Pipistrelle bat for us to see close up & it was screaming!

Lilian -My favourite thing was paddling in the river & when I sat in a bucket of water!

Samuel S – I really enjoyed the football

Emma – I loved going to the fete and going in the river
