Seven of our eldest Beavers took part in an amazing camp at Bentley Copse campsite with 300 Beavers from all over Surrey.            Beavers enjoyed a huge range of activities, to mention a few: climbing. archery, caving maze, ghyllie stalking, walking on custard, making spinners, mini pioneering rafts, catapaults & noughts & crosses games, assault course, giant swing, caving box, rotating climbing wall, tightrope walking, backwoods cooking, making Beaver masks and Beaver tails, ropemaking, making fruit skewers and the list goes on!

In their own words:

‘Beavers Go Wild has been really great, I can’t even say a favourite thing because it has all been such fun’ Edison, aged 7

‘I loved the go-karting and everything’ Lewis, aged 7

‘It was really funny walking on custard I really enjoyed it all especially making a Beaver mask’ Harry, aged 6

‘The climbing was brilliant.  I got even higher on Sunday,. I love my Beaver tail too’ Leo, aged 7

‘I really liked the game where you had to get a golf ball up a maze.  I completed it so many times!’  Xavier, aged 7

‘I absolutely loved everything’  Ollie, aged 7

‘It has been a really fun weekend.  I have loved all the activities’  Andrew, aged 7

They took part in a huge campfire on Saturday evening and led a campfire song with great confidence – the only group of Beavers to lead a song!

We all returned home tired but happy after a brilliant weekend away.

Put your phone down and what are you left with? Just teamwork, courage and the skills to succeed.’
