CARDBOARD CITY SLEEPOVER….

Date: 12th Jun 2019 Author: Tracey Daniell

The weather conspired against us when Beavers arrived with armfuls of cardboard ready to make shelters for our cardboard city sleepover, so rather than outside they made the city inside the hall.  They let their imaginations run wild as they made their overnight shelters.  One had a shelf inside for a torch – a very sensible idea!  We set up a tarpaulin & managed to get a fire going to make dampers & have some fun outside in between the heavy showers.  All Beavers slept well & in the morning we went for a ramble in the woods identifying features on a map.  Another great sleepover, thank you to our leaders Ross, Miranda, Sam & Tracey and parent helpers Rehuel & Karen who helped make it such a success.
