Cub Summer Camp
This took place from the 14th – 16th July at Boiderhurst Campsite, Box Hill.
I had a wonderful time on cub camp. We were at a lovely campsite at the bottom of Box Hill. On day one we put up our tents and ate some hotdogs for dinner. The next day we had some free time and went on a hike to the top of Boxhill and back down again. On the way back we bought an ice cream. Then we came back and ate some great pasta. On the last day we had some free time to play. We also had a mini Olympics, this included running, throwing and jumping. Then we packed up our tents and came home for a hot bath! Thank you to the leaders for giving me a great time at Cubs and I really enjoyed my last camp.

My first Cub camp was great fun. We camped in a wood and there was a play area, we made swords. Hawkeye helped make them out of sticks and string.
Every morning there was a tent inspection, our tent got seven out of ten both times.
The next day we went on a hike, we walked for four and a half hours! At our destination we bought some ice cream – yum. We enjoyed a campfire organised by the cubs who are leaving, it was really fun. On the last day, we competed in a mini Olympics , sprinting, long distance running and throwing. I won two medals and some sweets.
I’m really looking forward to the next one.
