CUB’S BUSHCRAFT CAMP ….

Bushcraft camp was very good, infact excellent! I put up my own tent with some friends, I made my food on the open fire.  I learnt  tracking and cooking dampers and bacon on the fire.  I cooked the bacon on hazel sticks.  I loved it.  I would recommend this camp to everybody in the whole world!  Any Cub Scouts, Beaver Scouts or Squirrel Scouts would absolutely love it!  The best bit was getting wood for the fire and playing in the woods.

I really enjoyed Cub camp because I liked the cheeseburgers and making mince parcels by wrapping mince and vegetables in tinfoil and putting them on the embers of the fire. We went into the forest to collect Hazel sticks and whittled them into points  to put bacon on and dampers. We did tracking and learning about first aid. We had lots of free time to play in the woods. Some Cubs played log rugby, which I enjoyed watching. The weather was good and it didn’t rain at all.
