CUB’S DAY CAMP AT BIRCHMERE…

Cubs had an amazing time being back on camp! They sadly couldn’t stay overnight but were able to do most of the usual camp activities including putting up tents for practice.
They made ballistas with canes, elastic bands and cups to shoot a small ball as far as possible, first aid, a sensory experience feeling different substances and objects, tent practice and fire lighting with charcloth and hay.
Cooking over the fire is a favourite activity; cubs made camp pizza wrapped in foil in the embers.
It was great to be back on camp despite not camping and to give the newer cubs a taste of what goes on!
