CUBS SKILLS CAMP AT BIRCHMERE ……..

At Skills Camp we did some cooking with the Trangias & we also set up our own tents. We had a fire & slept in the tents.. We had tent inspection to check it was all ok and we also cleaned the toilets & the hut. The thing I liked best was the cooking because we got to cook ourselves and light the fire.

It was pretty tiring hiking to camp, it was very far, 6 or 7 kilometres. There were lots of funny moments. It was funny when on the golf course there was a hill which Tate couldn’t get up, he sat down like he was swimming! The best bit of camp for me was the hike into camp. Report by Harvey, Cub Scout
