FLORAL TRIBUTES TO HM QUEEN ELIZABETH II LAID AT WINDSOR CASTLE ….
Report by Edison , Scout
We drove to Eton Wick and walked down the river to Windsor from where we dodged through the city. There were so many people that there was a one way system to the flowers and back to the exit. When we reached the gates we laid down the flowers (we picked flowers from our garden and wrapped them in recycled brown paper to help cut Co2 emissions) among the 1000s of others. We saluted The Queen and her being a patron of the Scout Association since she became monarch in 1952.
While we were there the proclamation occurred. The proclamation is an announcement and the celebration of the King’s ascension. This proclamation occurred in towns and cities all around the Commonwealth.
“Scouting is a global force for good. In the UK and around the world, Scouts are helping others and making the most of their lives.” – Queen Elizabeth II
