SCIENTIFIC SQUIRRELS ……

Date: 22nd May 2025 Author: Tracey Daniell

On Saturday 17th May 1st Knaphill Squirrels joined other Squirrels in the Woking District for the first ever Woking District Science Day, Scientific Squirrels. Squirrels had a brilliant time taking part in various experiments including guessing to see if they could identify different smells, putting their hands in boxes to guess what they could feel, discovering how small electric circuits work and seeing how far they could fire the paper rockets they made.  They also planted grass to make grass heads, using PH indicators to discover what happens when it is added to different substances such as vinegar and made white light spinners.

Squireel Emily said  “It was good.  I liked when we put a black dot on a bit of paper and then we squirted some water on it and It made different colours.”
