SCOUTS: GAMES CAMP ……
Games Camp was run at the 7th Woking Scout hall. Scouts and leaders brought their favourite games.
Bridge Command – this is a playable version of Star Trek. The Scouts genuinely have to work as a team – it isn’t possible for any one or two to complete the mission without the others.
Dungeons and Dragons – appropriately run in a windowless room and with Dungeon-Master Joe’s hair representing the dragon’s fire (probably)
Other games were run in the main hall – the afternoon was freeform, so Scouts could spend hours diving into one of the more complex games, or try an assortment of simpler ones.
The last game of the night was a session of Werewolf
The Scouts love camping so much they even like to do so inside! Fortunately for its inhabitants, this encampment was not subjected to the elements.
Luca interviewed other Scouts – here are some edited highlights:
Kit rated 8/10 – ‘because people brought really fun games like Warhammer’, favourite game was ‘what do you meme’
Samuel rated 10/10 – ‘lots of fun, made loads of tents to sleep in… favourite game was Warhammer’
Charlie rated 9.5/10 – specifically liked Dungeons and Dragons and Bridge Command
Imogen rated 7/10 – ‘good because lots of games, bad because no fire and inside all the time’
Bibi rated 9.9/10 – ‘got to build dens’
Tom rated very good/10 – ‘really fun’
