SUMMER CAMP 2023 AT BLACKLANDS FARM…

Summer Camp was epic!  My favorite activity was Jacobs Ladder as it involved lots of teamwork from you and your friend to get to the top.  It was also very challenging as each time you go up a log it gets a lot harder!

I was one of the few who stayed for every night for the whole camp and four of those I spent in a hammock.  The hammocks were very comfortable and I would highly recommend them.  Sleeping in the forest was quiet, but loud when it was raining!  I didn’t get wet though because the pillow stopped the rain reaching my head.  I loved camp and am looking forward to the next one and than you to the leaders.

I really enjoyed the canoeing and kayaking.  It was on a lake connected to a reservoir.  It was great fun but quite tiring.  I enjoyed the archery too, as well as hiking down to the railway track to see the steam train come through.

My favorite thing at camp was Jacob’s Ladder.  It was great fun & easy on the first three logs but the it got tricky as the gaps got bigger.   Bibi & I got the highest using teamwork.  It was quite a challenge. I also liked the grass sledging.

I really enjoyed doing archery & hit the target! I really enjoyed singing at the campfire & hiking to see the steam train.

I thought Jacob’s Ladder was really fun.  I did it with Osayi & we had to work together as we went higher because the gaps got bigger, you had to swing up which was a real challenge.  It was great teamwork.  The food was great too.
